Project Bluebell
Project Bluebell is a complete transformation of a once worn-out 2BHK apartment into a fully functional, stylish, and timeless home for a young couple. Every corner of the home was thoughtfully redesigned, with the old interiors stripped away entirely to create a fresh new identity that feels warm, contemporary, and enduring.
The living room was reimagined with functionality at its core. A sofa bed was introduced to add flexibility to the compact home, making it ideal for hosting guests without compromising on comfort. Complementing it are two armchairs and a bench, carefully arranged to create a seating layout that feels fluid, inviting, and well-defined. Cane detailing across the TV unit, armchairs, and centre table brings in texture and warmth, adding a modern character to the space.
The hallway too underwent a stunning transformation. A faux wooden beam ceiling was introduced to bring in a subtle rustic charm, while the wooden flooring seamlessly ties the entire home together, enhancing the warmth and character of the interiors. One of the most striking transformations can be seen in the dining area. While the couple’s existing dining set was retained to preserve familiarity and reuse one of their favourite pieces, the setting was elevated through thoughtful additions. A custom-designed mirror became the focal point of the wall, paired with ambient lighting and subtle printed posters that together create a soft, layered atmosphere. The result is a dining space that feels intimate, refreshed, and effortlessly elegant.
The master bedroom was designed as a warm and calming escape — almost like stepping into a boutique Airbnb. A wardrobe with cane-detail shutters and an integrated study adds both character and functionality to the space. The bed-back wall features elegant wooden beading, softly anchored by ambient lighting that lends the room a timeless, classic appeal. A space-saving vertical dresser with sliding shutters was thoughtfully incorporated to maximize functionality without overwhelming the room. Completing the space is the rustic charm of the mahogany cot, bringing warmth, depth, and a sense of quiet luxury to the interiors.
The guest bedroom was intentionally kept simple and minimal to create a fluid space that could function both as a workspace and a comfortable resting place for occasional guests. A louvered wooden bed-back detail continues the warmth and charm of wood seen throughout the home, while a subtle wallpaper and minimal artwork softly enhance the space without overpowering it. A compact folding work table was thoughtfully introduced, allowing the room to effortlessly transform into a makeshift workspace whenever needed
The kitchen too went through an incredible transformation, designed to feel fresh, warm, and highly functional at the same time. White Duco shutters paired with a muted green backsplash create a clean yet inviting palette, while the wooden lower cabinets bring in warmth and balance. A fluted glass partition subtly separates the utility area, maintaining openness while adding texture and character to the space. The utility countertop was thoughtfully converted into a compact coffee station, with the dishwasher and washing machine comfortably tucked away underneath, allowing the area to remain visually seamless and clutter-free.
Project Bluebell is ultimately about breathing new life into an old home — balancing practicality with personality to create a space that feels contemporary yet enduring.
