Project Florella – The Modern Minimalist Compact Villa
Designed for a dynamic couple, their young child and parents, Project Florella’s design primarily focuses on efficient use of space, clean lines, and a blend of functionality with aesthetic appeal.
Living room has clean minimalist furniture with soft and ambient lighting achieved through a mix of ceiling and wall lights. Black ceiling lights and a corner pendant lamp in brushed gold add to the contrast. A plush, neutral rug anchors the space, while large windows with sheer, walnut grey curtains allow natural light to fill the room, keeping it airy and serene.
The minimalist kids’ room focuses on simplicity, functionality, and a calming aesthetic while still being playful and practical for the little one. The room features light, neutral tones and a cheerful wallpaper. Built in pullout drawers in the wardrobe provide ample storage for toys. Study area accommodates a comfortable corner for the little one and a workstation for the mom. Shelving is open and minimal, housing only essential toys and books, with baskets or boxes for organization. The windows are dressed in lightweight, airy blinds with soothing prints to maintain the clean, open feel.
The master bedroom has a feature wall behind the bed, adorned with sleek, vertical green panels in a soft, muted sage green. The green tone introduces a natural, soothing vibe while maintaining the clean, minimalist aesthetic. Headboard wall also features a subtle, chevron-patterned wallpaper in ivory and grey tone, geometric texture without overwhelming the space. Minimalist bed frame, compact bedside table and sleek, unobtrusive dresser, built-in wardrobes with smooth, handle-less doors that blend seamlessly with the walls, enhance the room’s overall clutter-free feel.
The minimalist parallel kitchen in bluish grey and complementing wooden tones, with handleless profile is designed to optimize the compact space while maintaining a sleek and functional layout. The handleless design of the cabinets not only enhances the modern minimalist style but also maximizes the space by avoiding any protruding hardware. The countertops are crafted in quartz in a white hue, providing a clean and sleek surface that contrasts elegantly with the blueish grey cabinets. Above the countertop, the backsplash features intricate Moroccan-inspired tiles in shades of blue, soft grey, and black. The geometric patterns on tile add a subtle, artistic flair, serving as a focal point without overpowering the minimalist aesthetic. Compact yet fully functional, the layout ensures easy access to all kitchen appliances, with built-in storage that makes the most out of the space.
The upper living room is anchored by a rich grey accent wall, which adds depth and sophistication without overpowering the space. The grey tone is calming, making it a perfect backdrop for both work and relaxation. At the centre of the room sits a sofa cum bed, upholstered in a neutral grey tone. On one side of the room, a compact yet stylish study area is set up. A minimalist desk in light wood with clean lines is paired with a comfortable ergonomic chair and also extended to the tv wall. The fluted glass metal partition with sliding door adds a touch of sophistication to the space. It has black or charcoal-toned slim metal frames with frosted glass or clear panels, providing a division between the lounge and any adjoining room without making the space feel confined. The partition allows natural light to flow through while maintaining a sense of privacy when needed.
Parents room maintains a neutral palette with beige wardrobe, subtle floral print blinds and simple bed frame. Ambient lights create a warmth to the space as well.
